PNW Camps – Lazy F Camp – Summer String Academy

Welcome to the Registration Process for Sumer String Academy! Thank you for choosing Lazy F as your summer camp site! Be sure to indicate Lazy F as the Camp Site on your Registration Form, and Summer String Academy as the Camp Event. Before you get started, here is some information you will need:
Summer String Academy is an overnight orchestra camp. Age requirements are based on the grade that your child will be entering in the fall. Students must be entering 6th, 7th, 8th, or 9th grade. Students are expected to have at least one year of playing experience in their school string program or equivalent. Some exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis. Sixth grade students are limited to Session I; July 15-20. Seventh through ninth grade students may do either week or both weeks if they choose. Please know that program activities and repertoire for the July 15-20 week and July 22-27 camps are identical. When you register your child, make sure you indicate the grade for the 2018-2019 school year! $630 if deposit is received after April 1, 2018
Early Bird Discount If you register by April 1st, you may receive the Early Bird Discount. Paper registrations must be postmarked by April 1st, and online registrations must be submitted and the discount selected. The discount for Summer String Academy is $50.
Grade Level The grade range for each camp refers to the grade your camper will be starting this fall.
Email Communication Unless your family has specified that you would prefer communications by mail, all confirmations and follow-up information will be sent by email. Please add firstname.lastname@example.org to your address book, and watch for more information about your camp!
Deposit A deposit of $50 for each registration is required in order to secure your reservation. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable unless the event is cancelled. You may also pay the entire balance at the time of registration if you are able. All payments are due 14 days prior to the event.
Cancellations If the event is cancelled by the site, you will receive a full refund.
If a registration is cancelled more than 14 days prior to the event, refunds will be issued minus the non-refundable deposit. If a cancellation is made less than 14 days out, the full amount is still due. At this point, preparations have been made to host your camper. Policy exceptions due to unforeseen tragedy or serious circumstances will be considered on an individual basis.
"No-Shows" will not receive a refund.

Transportation and Check-in
There are two options for transportation:
1) Parents may drive their young camper to and from the Summer String Academy Music Camp.
2) Lazy F Camp also offers transportation to and from camp for students who have registered for Summer String Academy. Transportation is an additional $35 one-way and $65 for round trip. The drop off and pick up location will be at Bellevue High School in Bellevue, WA. The bus leaves from Bellevue High School to Lazy F on the first day and from Lazy F to Bellevue on the last day of camp. Parents or legal guardians are expected to meet the bus with their student(s) to complete the health check with our designated staff before departing for camp. You will receive more information about departure times and exact meeting spots a week prior to the start of camp.
Session I check-in is Sunday, July 15, 2018 at 3pm-4pm and Session II check-in is Sunday, July 22, 2018 3pm to 4pm. Check-in is at the Lazy F Camp and Retreat Center entrance for campers arriving with their parents. Bus riders will check in at the Bellevue High School loop in front of the Performing Arts Center at 1pm.
Concert and Check Out
Friends and family are welcome to attend the concert! The concert for Session I is on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 10am. Please arrive no earlier than 9:30am. Upon arrival, you will be directed to the concert. The check out is right after the concert at approximately 10:45am. Friends and family are welcome!

Upon arrival, you will be directed to the concert. The check out is right after the concert at approximately 10:45am. Friends and family are welcome!
After the concert, buses will depart Lazy F at 11 a and arrive at Bellevue High School at about 1pm. Please pick up your camper at Bellevue on time! If we run into extra traffic or delays, we will make every effort to contact parents en route. Campers receiving bus transportation back will also receive a sack lunch to eat on the trip home.
